Two rails, one waist line

Skirts and jackets cut against each other, so a hem and a shoulder meet where they should.

Three waists, cut the same

The plaid mini, the pleated mini and the wine-red midi come off one block, so they sit at the same point on the body.

KIERAN CLARK — how the pieces are made4 / 5;

Where the waist actually sits

A skirt is drafted from the waist down, not the hem up. We measure the waistband seated, standing and after lunch, then recut until it stays where it was pinned. The same block decides the jackets: armhole and back width are set against a knit worn underneath, never against a bare body, so a shoulder never pulls forward. Every length on a product page is taken from the production sample with a tape measure, in centimetres, and checked again once the garment has hung overnight.

How we fit

The rule we work to

A waistband has to survive the afternoon

Anything that twists, rides up or gapes when you sit down is recut before it is approved. That is the whole method: fit it, wear it, measure it, and only then photograph it.

Before you order

Measured from the sample
